Introduction
Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) is a technology that reads any vehicle’s number plates by optical character recognition on images. It helps in identification of suspected vehicles and raises alarms to monitor and identify vehicles by color. It uses the city surveillance cameras, existing closed circuit television, or specially designed cameras. ANPR tool is used as assistance support for the enforcement of the law and also for ensuring the road safety by providing the real-time transport flow.
